Methedras were formed in 1996 by Massimiliano D. (rhythm guitar) and Andrea B. (bass)... after some changes, became clear and defined the route Methedras intended to follow: revitalize the true granitic and direct thrash metal of the early '80s.
After few years the line-up was strongly modified with the arrival of Claudio F. (vocals), Carlo R. (drums) and Eros M. (rhythm & lead guitar)... starts here the most important and productive period of the band: result of such changes was the release of two promo CDs, well reviewed and appreciated over the national territory.
The most important targets achieved in the last years have been the possibility to open in Italy for important bands like Entombed and Tankard, gaining in this way more visibility; the win of the Battle of the Metal Bands 2004, a national contest; the resulting participation to Wacken Open Air 2004 together with big names such as Anthrax, Arch Enemy, Cannibal Corpse, Children Of Bodom, Death Angel, Deicide, Destruction and more; the second place within the international metal battle performed at W:O:A 2004; and finally the self-production of the first debut album, Recursive.
The new work contains the experience the band has reached in nearly ten years of activity, directing into the songs featured the whole energy and rage which distinguished the last years, fed by a substantial dose of old style thrash, but rendered in a more cynical and grimmer way.
At the moment the new album has started collecting a lot of enthusiastic press reviews and cheering comments and feedbacks... we firmly hope it will continue this way and will give us the possibility to spread our music worldwide...
