STILLBIRTH
were born in 1996 with the name CLONING TECHNOLOGY from an
idea of Mauro (Bass) and Lorenzo (rhythm guitar), Pepe (Lead
guitar) which in the past had already played with Mauro in
PROFANATUM band. During the years we changed several drummers
and singers come up to the formation of the first EP in 2000
with Andrea Rossi on drums & Grezzo on vocals. The recording
of the first demo took four days and the mixing too. All the
production, the mixing and the post production have been cured
by all the members of the band with the help in engineering
phases of Max "The Chua" Antonetti.
The
EP is distribuited by TOGETHER AS ONE RECORDS and the song
"Return" is present on the homonymous Compilation
2001. Our song "The Endless Ice Of Soul" were, in
March 2002, on the Compilation SCREAMS FROM ITALY Vol. VI
produced by DAWN OF SADNESS RECORDS. The live programming
in 2002 was very intense and has his peak on beginning of
the summer. In June we played in support of THE HAUNTED and
WITCHERY in the only Italian show at TOGETHER AS ONE FEST
2002. In August our band won a national music contest, playing
in support to ELDRITCH, & obtaining the chance to record
the next EP at "Temple Of Noise" studios in Rome.
Still in August we played at "Acme Zone Fest" in
suport to Opera IX and Undertakers. In September we were on
stage at the first edition of "Garlate Rock Fest"
in support to Evil Wings. In August 2003 STILLBIRTH decided
to continue to play with only a guitar, that one of Lorenzo
Corti and were invited like haed-liners to the first evening
of "Mostra dei Mostri Rock 2003", a three days metal
festival, that has like main group on Saturday the historic
Italian metal band for excellence: DEATH SS. In October we’ve
recorded our second EP at Cristian Ice 's "Temple of
Noise Studios" in Rome.
The
recording & the mixing took five days & the promo
got out in December 2003 intitled "Trauma". The
song "Deadly Virus" was selected by the german label
HARD II EARN records for a compilation called JOINING FORCES
out in March 2003. We are now working with two promotion agencies
: GRIND PROMOTION AGENCY that is distributing our EP "Trauma"
& booking our promotional tour, and NECROTORTURE AGENCY
that is planning our Italian tour. October 2004 we sign a
promotion deal with the label RISESTAR PROMOTIONS from Chile,
that will promote our promo worldwide & they include our
song “Victims of Nuclear Age” in “The Iron
Force Metal Compilation” printed in 10.000 copies &
distributed worldwide for free to media & fans.
